Mojca Kumerdej

MOJCA KUMERDEJ (1964) is a writer and an art critic mostly focusing on dance. She studied philosophy and sociology of culture at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. Since 1988, she has written for different intellectual and art magazines such as Problemi, former Razgledi and Maska, and especially for newspaper Delo where her columns, articles, interviews and reviews insightfully record the pulse of contemporary dance, theatre, performance, film and literature. Her first book, novel Krst nad Triglavom (The Baptism above Triglav), was published in 2001, followed by short story collections Fragma (2003) and Temna snov (Dark Matter, 2011).
She will perform in Ljubljana on 1 and 2 March 2012.
