Suzana TratnikSUZANA TRATNIK (1963) lives and works in Ljubljana as a writer, translator and journalist. As a long-term activist of lesbian movement and as an essayist, Tratnik was a co-editor of L, a collection of essays and articles on the lesbian movement in Slovenia from 1984 to 1995 (1996), and a Teddy jury member at Berlinale film festival in 2000 as one of the organisers of the Lesbian and Gay Film Festival of Ljubljana.She has published several short stories in literary magazines, earned two mentions at the contest for the best women's stories (1995 and 1996) and won the third prize at the love letter contest of Primorska srečanja magazine. Her stories have been published in German anthology of European lesbian prose Sappho küsst Europa (Querverlag, Berlin 1997) and in American anthology The Vintage Book of International Lesbian Fiction (Vintage Press, New York and Toronto 1999). She will perform in Ljubljana on 2 and 9 March 2012. |
